For explorers aged 12 years and under and their families
With a range of spaces and activities to interact there are lots of things for explorers to try out on The Forgotten Island. As well as the permanent features, across the summer there will also be a range of facilitated workshops and artist interventions for children and families to get involved with.
- Race the Labyrinth
- Pedal with all your might in the Sound Forest to generate power to hear the soundscape
- Engage with a variety of arts activities at The Museum of Curiosities.
- Make your own real rainbows as sunlight and water collide in the Rainbow Fields
- Recycled making and planting in the Paddock Garden’s
- Build, dig, bury and play on Glasgow's only outdoor island beach
- Get involved in tug of war, sand sculpting, coites and more
A Portable Camera Obscura Garden Shed!
The newest addition to the island is Susan Castillo’s portable camera obscura garden shed.
That’s right a real shed that is a camera?! This moveable contraption will allow visitors to experience the island from another perspective and watch in amazement as flowers, clouds and other island features are projected on the shed walls in real time.

Stowaways (under 3s): Free
Family Ticket: (2 adults, 2 children) £15.00
Groups: 2 adults go FREE with 10 paying children.
